Thrilling real-time action

Mastering the basics of combat, including block-breaking strong attacks, counters and evasion, is essential. Break enemies' defensive Fortitude by striking weak points and activate an Assault to deal massive damage. Continuous combat fills the Musou Gauge - use this to unleash a powerful Musou Attack.

Use Tactics to turn the tide of battle

Use Tactics to command surrounding allies to perform various actions, such as an advance or cavalry charge, which can trigger Dramatic Success in some situations. Assembling your troops in a Large Force will maintain high morale and they will coordinate their attacks, severely weakening enemy strength. Large Forces can deploy Grand Tactics to dramatically shift the battle with intense group assaults.

Choose the right weapons and Companions

Wield a variety of weapons, from swords and spears to specialised ones like gauntlets and crescent blades. Mastering weapons helps the protagonist reach a new Rank and increase his abilities. Use horses for travel and, for certain battlefields, choose a Companion to fight alongside you. You can switch to a Companion during battle for a limited time, so choose the right moment to control them and unleash their powers.

A new Three Kingdoms story and world to explore

Experience an immersive story through the eyes of the amnesiac protagonist who must identify friends versus foes, heroes who can bring order to the chaos, and enemies to cross blades with.
